I choose to make appointments with Max for several reasons. He listened closely to what I had to say. He took notes and asked thoughtful questions. He explained his theory in a way I would understand. (I don't work in the medical field but I'm pretty familiar with medical terms. He never talks down to me.) I had several questions and he answered them thoroughly and explained his reasoning. I know that he will work with the entire team at Towsley, including my primary care doctor (PCP). I left the appointment with the feeling that I'm in good hands. .

I came in for a surgical clearance. My orthopedic scheduling nurse faxed form on Aug.29th. When I went to my appointment on Sept. 9th, office & PA said they didn't receive the form I needed which caused some extra time & confusion on everyones part. That was something I was not happy about.

There are no restrooms in the waiting area except behind the locked door to the medical treatment area. I could have asked to be allowed through but it was not urgent.

this provider was 100% someone I would recommend to others. He listened well, addressed every possible scenario, offered actual solutions, did not push for one thing vs another (I already exercise regularly, and he offered PT but left it open for me to decide), and was overall compassionate and encouraging. The back pain came on pretty suddenly, I waited 3 days and tried everything I knew before coming in, and he made me feel it was ok to have made the appointment even though I basically just needed to rest and wait for it to get better (unless of course it got worse). I am feeling much better now, almost back to myself; and thankful to have seen Max Julien, PA-C.
